Love Finds You in Glacier Bay, AlaskaBook three starsLove Finds You in Glacier Bay, Alaska by Tricia Goyer & Ocieanna Fleiss
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Love Finds You in Glacier Bay Alaska is the quaint story of a rising music star and her search for love that leads her back in time and back to the man who truly loves her. The 312 pages weave an old love story into the story line of a couple desperately wanting to rekindle their love today. Past, present, and future all collide into one seamless adventure between the first and last page of this fictional story from Tricia and Ocieanna.

I really enjoyed the tug-of-war between past and present and how the story from decades before brings new life to the current residents of Glacier Bay. Between the two accounts, you feel like you’ve actually been to Glacier Bay and that if you were to walk into the town they would call you by name, too. I have never read a book that so beautifully intertwines two stories into one that I couldn’t tell who’s adventure I liked best. It was a fun to read and the back and forth kept my rapt attention while keeping me just enough on my toes to wonder if I really knew how it would end. The blend of adventure and romance makes this book a sweet love story without crossing the line of “too much”.

This book was easy-reading and entertaining but very light with spiritual challenge. I personally classify it as a safe and relaxing read. Because it is a romance novel I still highly caution it’s appropriateness for young teen girls and at the least would advise mothers and daughters to read and then discuss. There are actually several angles that would be great to read and then use to talk through what they should or should not due as they find love in their own life.

If you want to travel without ever stepping on a plane and relax for 4 hours, then this would be a book that you most likely would enjoy.
