Crazy Busy: A (Mercifully) Short Book about a (Really) Big ProblemCrazy Busy: A (Mercifully) Short Book about a (Really) Big Problem by Kevin DeYoung

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Overview

The subtitle sums this book up pretty well: “A (mercifully) short book about a (really) big problem.” In this brief read, Kevin explains 7 different diagnosis options for why we are so crazy busy.

Crazy Busy {A Book Review}The Readability

The length of this book and the tone of this book are very easy to read. It is only 118 pages long and written like a good conversation with a friend. The average reader most likely will be able to read this book within 3 to 4 hours. Each chapter stands well on it’s own so it also makes a good book to read in short spurts of time.

The Highlights

For me the highlight was having Kevin confirm my suspicions on the cause of being crazy busy. There is no magical cure. But there IS a cure! While there are no immediate fixes in this book per-say, there is hope and help with fixing the crazy busy in all our lives.

The Downside

There really isn’t a downside to this book. Any Christian would benefit from reading this book because no matter how simple we live, we all have our crazy busy moments and phases of life.

The Recommendation

If you think for even just a moment that you are crazy busy, I highly recommend this book. Even if you are not – or don’t feel like you are – you should read it in preparation for those times when you are. I would recommend this book to teens and adults both.
