About Mandy

2014-02-14 16.20.27Hi!  My name is Mandy  J. Hoffman and it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance here in the world of blogs.  I am so glad you have stopped by and I would love to chat with you as we celebrate God’s grace together.  Please follow the links under “Contact Mandy” to connect with me around the online circles.

In the meantime, let me tell you a little bit about myself.  Most importantly I am a child of God.  What I mean is that I have a personal relationship with God, the Creator of the universe. He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die cruelly on a wooden cross in order to pay the price of my sin and your sin: death. But it didn’t end there! After three days in a tomb, through the power of God, Jesus Christ arose from the dead and defeated the grip of death so that He might have an ongoing relationship with you and I.  Because I have accepted God’s gift of eternal life and an ongoing relationship with Him, my life is His and my purpose is to glorify Him.

I am wife to my best friend and soul mate, Justin.  We were married in 2002 and love each other more with each passing day. I’m not ashamed to say that we have an awesome marriage due to the 1st cord in our 3-cord marriage – Jesus Christ.  Together, we are passionate about glorifying God through our life no matter what that may look like.  Right now that has Justin working a secular job while we wait for God to direct him to the next full-time ministry opportunity.

Third on my list is the title of “Mother”. God has blessed our family with 3 children. Abby (’03), Emmy (’05), & Micah (’07). All of which are blue-eyed, blonde-haired miniatures of us.  Together we enjoy the adventure of homeschooling and I’m excited to see all three kids becoming little history buffs!

I am also a writer.  I have been writing for 9 years now here on my blog (although its name has changed several times now) and in 2015 I released my first book, #ReformingSocialMedia.  While the current stage of life does not offer me much time to write and single-handedly maintain a blog, I’m slowly building a notebook and mulling over ideas for when God does open up the writing door again.  (Plus, I’m slowly tucking away thoughts for two more books!)

When I’m not doing any of the above tasks, I also enjoy counseling, reading, discipling, reading, teaching Bible studies, reading, baking a fresh batch of cookies, reading, or helping my kids pass the next level of their latest game.  You can follow my #FromMyBookshelfToYours hashtag on Instagram to keep up with my reading obsession.

And lastly, but far from the least, I am simply a sinful wretch redeemed by God’s grace.  My desire here in this online space is to share with you how God’s grace connects to the daily moments of our lives and how it impacts everything we think, say, and do.  Be sure to stop by Facebook or Twitter to let me know you stopped by!
